Add and manage pages

Create, duplicate, rename, and delete pages.

Every site starts with a homepage. You can add as many pages as you need from the pages menu at the top center of the editor, which shows the name of the page you're editing.

Open the pages menu#

Select the page name at the top center of the editor. The menu lists your pages on the left, with Homepage first and the rest by their URL, like /about. Select a page to switch to it and see its details.

Create a page#

  1. Open the pages menu and select Create Page.
  2. Choose what kind of page it is:
    • Page: sections stacked down the page, added and arranged as you like.
    • Portfolio: your projects, each opening its own page.
    • Gallery: one gallery of your images that fills the whole page.
    • Project: one project's page, which your portfolio links to.
  3. Choose a template, then select Next.
  4. Enter a Page title, like About Us, and a URL slug, like about-us. The slug is the end of the page's web address.
  5. Select Create page.

A Page can start Blank or from Landing, About, Features, Pricing or Gallery / Work, which fill it with example sections to change, reorder or remove.

A Portfolio is Grid, a page with your projects in a grid that takes other sections too, or Coverflow or Ribbon, which fill the page with your projects. See Projects.

A Gallery is Coverflow gallery, Parallax gallery or Ribbon gallery. The gallery is the whole page, so it can't take other sections. Its gallery settings switch between the three.

A Project starts from Case study: its details pinned beside its images, a call to action below it, and links to your previous and next projects. Add sections below it as to any page. Each project page is also listed in the Projects panel, which holds its details and tags. See Projects.

Slugs can only contain lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Each page needs its own slug. If you reuse one, you'll see "A page with this slug already exists".

Rename a page or change its URL#

  1. Open the pages menu and select the page.
  2. To rename it, edit Page Title on the Meta tab.
  3. To change its address, open the Slug tab and edit Page URL.

Changes save automatically. The page title is also the title shown in browser tabs and search results. See Page titles, descriptions and social images.

The homepage has no Slug tab. It always lives at your site's main address.

Duplicate a page#

  1. Open the pages menu and select the page.
  2. Select the three-dot menu at the top right of its details.
  3. Select Duplicate Page.

The copy keeps the original's title and content. Its slug is the original's with -copy added, like about-us-copy. A copy of the homepage gets home-copy. If a page with that slug already exists, rename it first.

Delete a page#

  1. Open the pages menu and select the page.
  2. Select the three-dot menu, then Delete Page.
  3. Select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a page can't be undone. The homepage can't be deleted.

Add a close button#

Pages other than the homepage have a Close button option on the Meta tab. Turn it on to add a button in the page's top corner that goes back to the previous page, or home.

Put your changes live#

New pages and page changes reach your live site when you publish. See Preview and publish.
